AVAILABLE EXTRAS
In addition to offering a wide range of vehicles, we also offer a variety of extras and insurance packages. Further details of these can be found in our booking system just click on “more info” on the right hand side of the extras page to find out more, and we have also listed them below:
SCDW Insurance
This extra insurance offers the same coverage as the standard CDW insurance, but the excess (amount you are liable for) is reduced by between 350-600€, depending on the type of vehicle hired.
GP Insurance
Covers damage caused by gravel hitting the front windshield, headlights and paintwork of the vehicle. Not available for all vehicles.
Package Insurance & Platinum Insurance
When hiring a“package insurance” you get SCDW + GP + AP insurance in one package at a very good price. Platinum Insurance will reduces your responsibility to ZERO.
SAAP Insurance
Covers damage to the vehicle by volcanic ash and sand storms.
Not available for all vehicles
Additional Driver
The rental agreement only allows one individual to drive the car. With this option you can add as many drivers as you want – all of whom are covered under the same conditions as the main driver. For certain models this extra is free of charge.
GPS (satellite navigation system)
With a GPS you can search and find any point in Iceland that maybe hidden from standard maps. You can also calculate estimated times of arrival and your average speed.
Child Seat
The safety of children is a priority and Icelandic law requires that all children less than 135 cm tall travel in specialized baby, child or booster seats. Please inform us of the height and weight of your child. Please remember that you are always responsible for attaching and using the baby seat.
Inverter
This handy device will convert the 12V DC power from your car battery to 230V AC power that you can use to power small household appliances such as a phone charger, laptop or games console. Not available for all vehicles (only for certain models).
Bed Linen Pack
You can rent bed lined from us, saving you lots of space in your suitcase! The pack includes everything needed for a good night´s sleep: 1 blanket, 1 pillow, I sheet and all covers. Sleeping bags are included when renting a vehicle from the “Camper for 2” range.
Towel Pack
Save space in your suitcase and rent towels from us. One large and one small towel is included in our pack. Not available for all vehicles.
Table and Chair Set
We have our fair share of sunny days here in Iceland, and to take full advantage of them you should consider renting our table and chair set.
Ideal for enjoying picnics or late night barbecues, the set includes one table and however many chairs are needed for all of your passengers.
